The cornea is the transparent structure located at the front of the eye that covers and protects the iris, lens and the anterior Chamber. The cornea allows the passage of light and optical refractive properties significant, representing nearly 2/3 of the total capacity of approach to the eye, approximately 44 diopters. It is one of the few tissues of the body that does not have irrigation blood.
